It's safe to say that Halo was influential in the console shooter genre, and a new trailer for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary pays homage to that legacy. Amid the new game and cutscene footage, several Microsoft Studios and 343 staffers talk about what made the original important, and how they're preserving that for the Anniversary edition.

In addition to talking about the original's legacy, the video gives us a first-look at Halo's Kinect features, first revealed at Comic Con over the weekend. The trailer clocks in at over seven minutes, so there's plenty of Halo nostalgia to go around. Check it out below. The game is due November 15.

I love Halo but I don't get why they always credit themselves as "bringing fps to consoles". It's such bullshit.
