Halo: Combat Evolved has gone gold... again. The Anniversary remake is done, eagerly waiting to re-earn your hard-earned dollars on November 15th.

New to Anniversary is Kinect support, detailed for the first time at New York Comic Con. You'll be able to use voice commands, such as "Grenade" and "Reload," through the campaign. You'll also be able to switch between the classic and revamped visuals through voice commands as well.

Perhaps the most exciting addition offered by Kinect is the "Library" feature, which can be activated by shouting "Analyze." You'll then be able to "capture" select items in the environment, a la Metroid Prime, and these items will go into an encyclopedia which not only details the object, but lets you see the 3D model up close and personal.

The library is very cool, but unfortunately it is exclusive to Kinect. Why? Because there, apparently, wasn't a button for it.

Finally, 343 revealed the final map for Anniversary's multiplayer mode. "Hang 'Em High" is returning, and promises to be the most true to the feel of the original's.

Man, I was hoping that "Library mode" would be a feature that allowed you to instantly switch to the Library level at any point in the campaign. Oh well!

Don't worry, the game will keep taking you back there anyway...

No Kinect Forge controls? THAT could've been sweet.

Anyone know if this will be a fullprice game? Kinda thinking since it's been done before, they might make it a bit more reasonably priced.

I don't even think I'll be buying the multiplayer maps stand alone when they are eventually offered. I've got no interest in replaying Halo 1's campaign and I think the new maps are getting their own playlist so the Noble and Defiant packs are all I need. I think most people were expecting Halo 1's multiplayer to be remade for Live but without that I think this Anniversary edition misses the mark. I am curious to see if this will sell better or worse than ODST.

Sounds like a better package than ODST was, and at a better price.

How is that? ODST was a new campaign and introduced Firefight while its second disc had the complete Halo 3 multiplayer with all the DLC maps. This has a campaign I've played years ago and one new map pack that may or may not be required.

yeah, ODST was a way better value. This one doesn't even have all the DLC for Reach, only Halo 1 themed Reach maps for multiplayer and a graphics remake of the original campaign. That said, it is only $40 (then again I got ODST for $50 when it came out and it was worth it for me).

Except ODST's campaign was awful. And Halo 1's is great.

ODST'S campaign was awful. It's the only Halo campaign I never finished. It just felt totally half-assed compared to the rest of the series. Like I'd already done all of that in previous games, with a better story.

It felt like the expansion it should have been released as.

That said, I enjoyed it more than Halo 3's campaign. I thought I hated Halo 2 SP, but I replayed it on PC just after Halo 3 came out and actually really enjoyed it.

So you'd already gone through a Halo campaign without rechargeable shields in a hub-based world? Granted the story might not have been what it should've, but you did not do all of that in previous games.

"What didn't you like about it?"
                  "It was awful"

ODST was full price. While I enjoyed it, it wasn't a great deal.

I was expecting library mode to be a multiplayer mode where you play through the same small section of a level again and again against endless waves of flood until you get bored.
