Costume Quest now available on PC

Tim Schafer's studio, Double Fine Productions, has been on quite the roll lately, making games like Brutal Legend and Stacking. But, none of them have appeared on PC. Why? "We have always said that if it were up to us, we’d release our games for the PC," Schafer said in a press release "Well, now... it’s finally up to us!"

Adorable Halloween-themed RPG Costume Quest will be the first PC game from the studio in over six years, since Psychonauts.

The game is available now on Steam for $14.99. The "Grubbins on Ice" expansion pack is included for free with the PC edition, perhaps as an apology for the year-long delay.

The announcement also teases that this is but the beginning of Double Fine's support for the PC. "We're working on it, eh?" the press release noted.

      This is an excellent game, I already own it on PS3 and will buy again on PC! I highly recommend this!

        It's a charming little game and I liked it enough knock it out while sick one day, but there wasn't enough substance in the exploration and RPG combat to get me to replay it. May still grab it later for the included DLC which I never got to on the PS3.

          i agree it is a charming game..i loved it.. however i still feel that the 'combat' bits got really repetitive and i got bored of that aspect... absolutely loved the exploration parts and the quests...
          having played Stacking earlier too and knowing their past record, Tim Schafer's team looks like someone who care about gaming and want to experiment and try out many different things without compromising on fun and quality of games..... a lesson to be learnt by many big publishers (Activision, are u listening? )
