Licensed games are usually hit-or-miss (and more often miss) but South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play was surprisingly well-received. The series is getting another Xbox Live Arcade exclusive, with South Park: Tenorman's Revenge. The platformer is being developed by Other Ocean Interactive (Dark Void Zero, X-Men Destiny DS) and published by Microsoft. It's set to release in spring of 2012.

You'll play as Cartman, Kyle, Stan, and Kenny as they battle Scott Tenorman's army of Gingers. It features four-player local and Xbox Live co-op as well, for those who want to throw down with some friends. Details are sparse now, but the game is going to be featured at a South Park panel tomorrow at New York Comic-Con. If you're attending, you can visit the panel tomorrow at 6:15 pm, where South Park Digital Studios will show off a trailer and then allow the audience to ask questions.

For those of you who might not remember the 2001 episode Scott Tenorman Must Die, Tenorman was a smarmy older kid who made the mistake of mocking Cartman. The pudgy boy exacted his revenge by (spoiler) having Scott's parents killed, cooking them, and feeding them to him as chili. So to be fair, Tenorman kind of has a legitimate reason for revenge. The character later returned as the leader of a Ginger Separatist Movement.
