Mass Effect 3 script features as much dialogue as first two games combined

A core staple of the Mass Effect series is participating in conversations with a wide variety of colorful characters. Given the sheer number and the multiple possible outcomes of these virtual chats, it's not entirely surprising to hear that the first and second games in the series each sported over 20,000 lines of recorded dialogue. Mass Effect 3, however, will include almost as much dialogue as the first two games combined.

According to a tweet from the game's audio lead Rob Blake (via BeefJack), Mass Effect 3 will include over 40,000 lines of voice acting, compared to the 20,000 lines found in the first game or the 25,000 lines of chatter from Mass Effect 2.

Shepard's final chapter will also let players with Kinect join the conversation.

Players will be able to defend Earth from the Reaper invasion when Mass Effect 3 launches on March 6, 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
