Tower defense game Unstoppable Gorg has been approved for Xbox Live Arcade, as the PC closed beta continues to give developer Futuremark games valuable feedback. If you haven't joined the beta yet, a dev diary reminds potential players that it's still open to registrations if you want in, and explains why a 360 or iPad beta is unlikely.

The latest dev diary says that the team submitted their proposal to Microsoft in July, and just now had it approved. "A good thing too, as we had gone ahead and announced that there would be an XBLA version way back in July!" the post says.

Meanwhile, the closed beta is ongoing, and Futuremark warns that it's "some way off" from being complete. The diary says that a lot of the content is placeholder at the moment, and they're still making tweaks to the balancing. They do praise the beta testers for great feedback, but say that the 360 and iPad versions won't have their own betas. "One of the (many) great things about Steam is that we can update the game whenever we want," says the blog. "The processes involved with Xbox LIVE and the App Store would just slow us down."

If you still want to join the beta, you can follow the instructions here or 'Like' the game on Facebook.
