Desmond Miles and his ancestral alter-egos Ezio and Altair are returning for Assassin's Creed: Revelations. A new report reveals that Revelations' killing spree in Constantinople will support 3D. Ergo, diving off of a ten-story tower into a hay-cart should be deliciously vertigo-inducing.

The PlayStation.Blog Q&A provides a few details about some things new to the series, such as "Den Defense" missions that are described as a sort of tower-defense mode, and cryptic UI changes to the Animus interface--like a "Google Maps-style satellite view"--that Ubisoft isn't keen to explain just yet.

The oft-discussed reappearance of Altair (Desmond's avatar from the original Assassin's Creed) was also mentioned, and will apparently center around "Masyaf key retrieval missions," which are structured similarly to the Lairs of Romulus missions from Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

Recruiting and dispatching assassins returns from Brotherhood, but leveling up a recruit to the Master Assassin level in Revelations will allow the player to assign them to protect one of the many Assassin Dens from enemy attack. Whether or not series-favorite Leonardo da Vinci will participate in the new story is still unknown.

Revelations' most significant new addition to Ezio's arsenal--the hookblade--was discussed a bit as well, including it's associated "hook and run" move that allows players to vault over enemies. New "leg sweep" and "chest stomp" moves were also mentioned. As the series continues to demonstrate, you can never have too many homicidal options.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations is due out on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on November 15.
