Burnout Crash! coming to iOS

Burnout Crash! is coming to the iPhone and iPad platforms later this year, EA has announced.

The general buzz around Burnout Crash! was that it seemed well-suited for an iPhone game -- Jeff Cannata even mentioned it on Weekend Confirmed a few weeks back. Now EA has now officially announced that the game is destined for the iOS platform this year.

You'll be tapping and swiping to steer and trigger explosions with the included three game modes and 18 traffic junctions. If you want to try it out sooner rather than later, the game (and associated demo) is already available on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. It costs $9.99 (800 MSP) on those platforms, but EA hasn't announced an official price for the iOS versions.

Seems like it would be more enjoyable on the ios... I played the demo on the PS3 and didn't think it was that fun.. but for a mobile game might be worth a buy.

Love this game, don't know that I would rebuy it on iOS but it is great on 360.

are you joking? this was the biggest disappoint to me. at least it will probably work well on touch screen controls since you just use one button and there's no driving anyways

no it is really great, the few of us that have it and play it a lot get into back and forth score one-upsmanship and whatnot fairly regularly. The demo isn't extremely representative of the full game, but I always loved Crash mode and bought it after the Penny Arcade dudes recommended it.

Now EA needs to do a Burnout 2/3 styled Burnout game. Hell, release 2 and 3 again with better textures and I will buy them.
