Uncharted 3 faux-demo coming to PlayStation Home
by Andrew Yoon, Oct 12, 2011 6:00pm PDTStill not convinced that Uncharted 3 is going to be your bag of tea? Do you need a gameplay demo before spending your hard-earned $60? Well, if you don't want to buy a $5 footlong from Subway, here's another way of getting a demo, of sorts, of Naughty Dog's upcoming shooter.
PlayStation Home will play host to a "Fortune Hunter" game that pits your avatar in a level ripped straight out of Uncharted. Interestingly, it also adopts the franchise's cover-based third-person shooting gameplay for Sony's social network.
According to IGN, the game will offer three waves, each with its own boss, with a new wave becoming available every week leading up to launch. There are ten challenges, and if you win them all, you'll be able to play Uncharted 3's multiplayer mode with the Kickback Endurance booster.
The game isn't quite the Uncharted 3 demo you may be looking for, but it's certainly an interesting experiment. The game should be live in Home in the coming weeks.
