Sega's critically acclaimed Valkyria Chronicles franchise may be done for in the States. Sega has confirmed that neither North America nor Europe will receive a localized version of Valkyria Chronicles 3... and you are all to blame.
Sega's Hiroshi Seno confirmed that the game will not be localized due to poor sales of Valkyria Chronicles 2.
Gamespot tracked down Sega's team manager of console sales in Singapore, who confirmed that the PSP's dwindling popularity in non-Japanese territories made it difficult to justify localizing the third game.
Why didn't you buy Valkyria Chronicles 2? It was one of my favorite games last year, and it earned a decent Metacritic rating to boot. Thanks to all of you, you're depriving Steve of one of his most anticipated games, and one of my favorite games from Tokyo Game Show. I can only hope that Sega forgives your sins by possibly re-releasing the game on Vita, or by giving another publisher (XSEED, perhaps?) a chance at bringing the game stateside.
