Great caption for Red Faction: Guerilla. I still like that game.

Also, I see no Green Man Gaming on the deals. They have the Battlefield 3 Pre-Order for $49+ USD.

Red Faction: Guerilla is a really fun game, $5 is a steal

Yes, get it for sure. Just remember to bias your settings a bit more toward fps than usual, since mouse behavior is tied to it. There's one or a few settings to tweak primarily.

For me it was disabling occlusion that made it MUCH more snappy.

And play on Easy. Way more fun to go around hammering things when you're not constantly dying.

I played on Hard, more adrenaline and tension that way. You need a plan to go with the destruction or they'll take you down.

I think something wonky is going on with Battlefield 3 on Green Man for the US.

Trying to view the store page from the US (well, a remote box in the US, but it's always worked before) redirects to the UK site and gives a "This product is not available for purchase in your region at the present time."

This doesn't happen for other games so... I'm not sure what's happening there.

It's to do with regional restrictions being imposed by the new deal they signed with EA.

No other games on their site have this issue, those publishers are just happy to make legitimate sales, however now that EA is on board it's a clusterfuck (check out GMG's numerous Facebook updates on the subject).

Now, why am I not surprised things are all fucked up the second EA is involved in them?

            Tch!

Then, as the deals PSA is US-centric, it has to be excluded.

Shame, as $49 would be $4 less than other DD sites are charging for BF3.

Yup. I just read that on their Facebook page. Looks like they are consolidating a business answer. Right now they are saying they will honor all sales from yesterday (when it started), but EA may quash that.

Otherwise, I know Newegg has twice offered a 2/3 sale on BF3 with one of their codes for about $48 + free S&H. It's not currently going on, but I hope it'll come up again.

              Thanks for checking Alice.

Anyone who hasn't played the Max Payne games and doesn't pick this deal up is just plain goofy.

Was there ever a fix for the first one and windows vista? I don't use vista anymore but for people who may still have it might not be able to play it. Also how do these game work with Win 7 64, anyone?

There's a patch for the audio in Vista/7. Which as far as I know is the biggest compatibility issue.

I don't know why they had to leave NYC, half of the fun of Max Payne is the dirty night time feel of that city :/ I hope 3 is good but I dunno, I don't see why it's necessary to do this, some of us don't mind the same old thing - again.

+1 for the chapter 3 reference in the title.
