Space Marine co-op DLC coming October 25
by Steve Watts, Oct 07, 2011 9:00am PDTEverything is more fun with friends, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is getting set to add a four-player co-op mode. The "Exterminatus" downloadable content is coming on October 25 to PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The DLC adds a new co-op mode with two scenarios, and more planned DLC on the way.
Eurogamer reports that you choose from a Tactical Marine, Devastator, or Assault class, and the mode lets you equip perks from the competitive multiplayer. The door goes both ways as well, since co-op progression will add to your general multiplayer ranking. Score will be determined by how well you mop up enemies, along with gaining multipliers and dynamic challenges.
This first piece of DLC will add two Exterminatus scenarios: Assault on Hab Center Andreas, and Escape from Kalkys Facility. Producer Andy Lang says that more scenarios are coming through DLC, but said "there will be a free component to them as well as some paid components."
