If you haven't noticed from the last few years, Ubisoft loves the Raving Rabbids. The malformed bunnies with a penchant for screaming have appeared in seven games since their debut in 2006, and now they're making a journey to a new platform: TV. Ubisoft announced today that it has penned a deal with Nickelodeon to make a TV series starring the little scamps.

Ubisoft will personally produce 78 CG episodes, at 7 minutes apiece. Nickelodeon will then package those into 26 half-hour episodes, and start showing the cartoon across its channels in 2013. For some reason, this deal excludes showing the episodes in France, so Ubisoft's home won't be privy to Rabbid toons.

"Nickelodeon is one of the world's leading entertainment brands for children and families, and Ubisoft is thrilled to be partnering with Nickelodeon to deliver unique television programming to its viewers," said Ubisoft Motion Pictures CEO Jean-Julien Baronnet in the announcement. "As the world's most recognized entertainment brand for children and families, Nickelodeon is the perfect vehicle to share the zany Rabbids characters and their crazy adventures with television audiences around the globe. This partnership represents a major milestone in Ubisoft's strategy to expand its brands to new media, thereby attracting new audiences to its games."
