Mike Capps from Epic Games took stage at Apple's "Let's Talk iPhone" event today. Why? He wanted to show off Infinity Blade 2, running on Apple's newly announced iPhone 4S. The phone comes equipped with a new chip called the A5, which promises graphics performance "up to 7 times faster than in the previous iPhone." Taking advantage of the new hardware is Infinity Blade 2, which promises to have "visuals that you've never seen on a mobile device," according to Capps. "This may look pre-rendered, but it's not," Capps said at the event. Would you agree?

Infinity Blade 2

"Infinity Blade allowed us to demonstrate the true potential of triple-A handheld gaming by delivering mind-blowing graphics and awesome gameplay to millions of mobile users,” ChAIR creative director Donald Mustard said in a prepared statement. “With Infinity Blade 2, we’re pushing the boundaries of everything achieved to date and adding a ton of new content and unique new features to create the must-have gaming experience on iOS.” As with all sequels, Infinity Blade 2 promises more locations, more enemies, more bosses, and new fighting sytles and weapon classes. There's also new online features, such as Clash Mob, which will offer "massively social challenges" to unlock rare weapons and items. Infinity Blade 2 will be available on December 1st and will take advantage of iOS 5 features, such as iCloud, which allows profiles and save games to "transfer seamlessly between devices." While the announcement says the game will support iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, it's unclear if support will expand beyond the current generation of hardware.
