Build-A-Bear Workshop brings more bears to 'Kinectimals Now With Bears!'
by Jeff Mattas, Sep 21, 2011 4:15pm PDTIn what's one of the cuddlier promotions brought to bear in recent memory, custom teddy bear-making company Build-A-Bear Workshop is partnering with Microsoft Studios and Frontier Developments to deliver new animals to the game Kinectimals Now With Bears. Select real-world teddy bears will include a Microsoft TAG code, which can be scanned using Kinect to add a new fluffy friend to the game.
The four special bears will run $18 apiece, and will be available for purchase both online and at physical Build-A-Bear stores.
If you'd like to preview the eligible bears in all their fuzziness, or consider purchasing one, you can click their names below to check out their Build-A-Bear store pages.
The announcement notes that the special Kinect-ready bears will go on sale on October 11, so be sure to wait until after then to place your order, or else you might just end up with a regular old unscannable teddy bear.
