Shadow Complex 2 dev looking for partner

Shadow Complex 2 is "largely designed," Epic says. However, the company is looking for a partner to help bring it to market.

The first Shadow Complex was a tremendous success, breaking Xbox Live Arcade sales records when it first released. Developer Chair Entertainment had plans for a sequel before tabling them, opting to work on Infinity Blade for iOS instead. So, what ever happened to Shadow Complex 2?

"Shadow Complex 2 is sitting there, it's actually largely designed," Epic Games' Cliff Bleszinski said.

"We just need to find a partner that will help us to finish it so we can bring it to market," Bleszinski told Gamasutra.

It's unclear if Bleszinski means a development or publishing partner. It would be a surprise if Epic were struggling to find a publishing partner for the title. The first game was published by Microsoft, making it an Xbox 360 exclusive. Given the success of the first title, one would assume that Epic would seek to continue that partnership.

Pretty much. The abomination that is "Games For Windows Live" is a cleverly designed ruse to trick people into giving up on PC gaming and buy an XBox instead :(

Oh wow, yes. My first experience with GFWL made me lose to desire to play said game (bioshock 2). Not being able to save games because GFWL crashes is awesome.

I'm pretty saddened by the news that W8 will have Xbox/GFWL integrated -- they haven't updated GFWL much at all in the past 2.5 years. Microsoft really doesn't give a shit about PC gaming, so they just need to leave it out of windows 8 IMO.

If you want this game on PC, there are two publishers you DON'T want touching this game: Microsoft, and EA.

many things can be said about EA but not supporting the PC isn't one of them

I have amazing ideas. My game is pretty much done in my head, I just need a programmer and an artist, a couple weeks, and we'll have one of the best games ever made!

If they need help to finish a Shadow Complex sequel, they must have started deep into another unannounced title when Gears 3 was sent off to cert.

I still haven't played the 1st one and probably won't. Don't have a 360 and don't plan on buying one, but a steam version would fix all that.... please!
