Metal Gear Solid HD features confirmed
by Andrew Yoon & Xav de Matos, Sep 15, 2011 6:15pm PDTAlthough Hideo Kojima has already touted many of the features announced today, Konami has provided a list of features coming to the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. The publisher confirms that the games will run in 1080p at 60 frames per second on both PS3 and Xbox 360, with a "rebalanced" UI for HD. Interestingly, the publisher also notes "tentative" support for worldwide matchmaking, likely for the collection's online cooperative mode.
The set will arrive on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this year, and the PlayStation Vita in 2012; however, the following features are specific to the console versions.
The bundle includes HD versions of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker along with bonuses such as MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.
