Winter Stars coming to Kinect, Move, and Wii
by Jeff Mattas, Sep 14, 2011 2:15pm PDTDeveloper 49Games has announced a multi-platform, motion-controlled, peripheral-happy winter sports game called Winter Stars for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii. The game includes eleven different events that will utilize PlayStation Move and Kinect on their respective platforms. The Wii version of Winter Stars will accommodate Balance Board support.
Winter Stars includes a story-driven career mode, in which players can earn points to unlock new duds and gear. Featured events in Winter Stars will take place across eighteen different locations, and will include "snowmobiling, bobsledding, downhill skiing, figure skating, biathlon, free ride skiing, snowboard cross, ski jumping, paraskiing, curling, and short-track."
The game will also include online multiplayer support for up to four players, and will also feature a "Family" mode, which will let "players of all ages and skill levels to compete on a level playing field."
Winter Stars is due out on all three platforms "this holiday season."
