"Players will feel what it's like to cut through an enemy's flesh and bone, along with the consequences that come with it," publisher Tecmo Koei said when it first unveiled Ninja Gaiden 3. But what does that mean? A new trailer from Tokyo Game Show shows the dramatic new direction Team Ninja is taking the Ninja Gaiden franchise for its third outing--the first without the involvement of series creator Tomonobu Itagaki. Tecmo Koei promises that we'll "learn about the man behind the mask." In this video, we see how Ryu gets his demonic arm--not to be confused with Nero's arm from Devil May Cry 4, of course. Ninja Gaiden 3 will be available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in "early 2012."

the consequences should consist entirely of blood spraying everywhere and the enemy dieing. also i get some spirit energy. and maybe you are allowed to spawn in another meat bag to dismember.
