Alice, Star Ruler has a second r in it.

Yay this is back! This is a pretty rad thing. I'm gonna get some people to buy Serious Sam.

If I buy Dead Island on Amazon, does the (Steamworks) tag mean that I can use the code they provide to activate/download it on Steam permanently like any other Steam game?

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question. I've never understood what the (Steamworks) tag means.

Yes, steamworks means you get a CD key that you activate on Steam, and it's added to your permanent library. You won't get any TF2 hats/bonus items if you pre-order games from somewhere other than Steam, but you may get a lower price from a different retailer.

        Yes, that's what Steamworks means.

I hate how Steam keeps putting the base game of Civ 5 up for sale, but most of the DLC never seems to go on sale. Bastards. :/

It did during the summer sale, the civs were 50% off iirc.

The good in between for people who want more stacking and limited stacking in Civ would be to do what Paradox does in their games. If you stack too many units on a tile, it degrades performance, logistics, and so forth.

Just bought Sam HD through Get Games and linked it to Steam. Great deal for 4 bucks. Now I'm eyeing Alpha Protocol. I already finished it on PS3, but I packed up all my console games and left them in California for the time being, and $5 is so tempting...
