Dead Island will be getting its first bit of downloadable content by the end of the month, developer Deep Silver has announced. Dubbed the "Bloodbath Arena," the mode adds four maps with waves of undead enemies. It was a freebie for pre-orders from certain retailers, and those codes will be honored when it hits.

According to Eurogamer, the DLC also adds a new weapon called the Brain Bomb, and lets you carry over any items or XP into the main game.

Bloodbath Arena will launch on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 for $10.

I hope they first fix the issue with the mouse being 90% slower in menus than when using mouselook in game.

Yes, PLEASE. One time I had some weird glitch where the Windows mouse cursor was visible in-game, and I kept getting distracted because it swept across the whole screen with just barely 1-inch of camera movement. Also they need to enable the Analog combat option for KB/M, no reason why you shouldn't be able to use that.

I can live with that, what needs to be fixed is a toggle off for the Steam VOIP.

A friend persuaded me to get this and I really wish I hadn't. We spent 2 hours messing around trying to join each other games and it kept just cutting off whenever any of us tried to join each others games. That and Amazon pulled an immense dick-move by saying they wont give me the DLC code they promised I would get when purchasing.
I thought Steamworks was supposed to.. I dunno.. work! Ah well until the inevitable patch comes out, there's always Deus Ex 3 to continue on with.

Its wierd. My friends can connect to me.. all four of them but we have a 0.5MB line and that's no use in this day and age to be hosting any type of game. My friend can host and hes got a fibre-optic line but for some reason my and my brother cant connect to him. Its a mess :( glad to hear you're not having problems though.
