by Steve Watts, Sep 09, 2011 6:45pm PDTDead Island will be getting its first bit of downloadable content by the end of the month, developer Deep Silver has announced. Dubbed the "Bloodbath Arena," the mode adds four maps with waves of undead enemies. It was a freebie for pre-orders from certain retailers, and those codes will be honored when it hits.
According to Eurogamer, the DLC also adds a new weapon called the Brain Bomb, and lets you carry over any items or XP into the main game.
Bloodbath Arena will launch on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 for $10.
