Minecraft has centered mostly on building up your defenses, but the game is preparing a new large-scale "Adventure" update that encourages users to get out, explore the world, and fell mobs. Mojang released a new trailer for the upcoming update today, which is tentatively scheduled for September 8 pending some "crucial work."

The list of planned updates is pretty lengthy, and includes multiple fixes, nine new crafting recipes, a Creative mode, three new mobs, updated combat, new achievements, a multiplayer server list, mod support updates, and more. Check out the trailer below.

"Looks grim to get a release out on 8th. We need more testing, one day is not enough. And we never release on fridays... I'll keep you posted"

      *Tentatively*

It will tentatively include all of the following tentative new tentative features:

      1. Maybe X
      2. Maybe Y
      3. Maybe Z

The release will tentatively be immediately followed up by Notch going overseas for a month, the first week of which he will be without an internet connection, even though he'll be posting tweets non stop.

Tentatively, only half of X will actually be in the patch.

You forgot Feature W, which will be cut because Notch forgot about it.

I like the new terrain fractal algorithm thingy, the dungeons/ subterranean parts look way more interesting to explore.
