Warhammer 40K: Space Marine to get free co-op DLC
by Andrew Yoon, Sep 02, 2011 6:00am PDTAlthough Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine has yet to find release, publisher THQ has already announced downloadable content for the game. Thankfully, it's going to be free.
"Exterminatus" is a co-op mode that allows up to four Space Marines to fight against "hordes of alien enemies in a score based fight to the death." Yes, it's Warhammer's take on Gears of War's Horde mode.
You'll be able to choose between the Tactical Marine, Devastator, or Assault Marine across two scenarios: "Assault on Hab Center Andreas" and "Escape from Kalkya Facility." All XP earned while playing this mode will also count towards the game's universal multiplayer ranks. Expect the DLC to be available in October.
