Ultima 1, 2 & 3 venture forth onto GOG

A slice of RPG history has been served up on a bargain platter by Good Old Games, whose spree of classic Electronic Arts additions continued today with the original Ultima trilogy. Young'uns tired of being regaled with grand tales of games made before you were even born, you can now try a few classics for yourself.

GOG is offering a bundle of Ultima I: The First Age of Darkness, Ultima II: Revenge of the Enchantress, and Ultima III: Exodus for $5.99. You get a digital cluebook, spellbook, and maps too.

The Ultima series was created by spaceman Richard 'Lord British' Garriott, and went on to live a long and fruitful life with nine main instalments, spin-offs, console ports, and an acclaimed MMO.

More classics from developer Origin Systems were released on GOG last week, in the first two Wing Commander games.
