The Kore Gang announced for Wii

Atari announced The Kore Gang today, an action-platformer coming to the Wii this fall.

New Wii-exclusive announcements aren't really common these days, but Atari is going against the grain today with the reveal of The Kore Gang. The action-platform title is set to release this fall, and stars two plucky kids, their pet chihuahua, and a robotic 'Kore' suit, as they set out to take down the Krank brothers.

Pixie (the girl) uses the Kore suit to enhance her climbing abilities, Madboy (the boy, obviously) to make him punch harder, and Rex (the dog) to sniff out clues. Atari promises plenty of puzzles and environments, a humorous story, and unique art style. The trailer only contains one line of dialogue, so it's hard to judge the humor, but you can feast your eyes on the visuals below.

Looks charming and somewhat ambitious. Hope they're rewarded for the effort.

I'm surprised it hadn't been announced yet as retailers have been listing it since last December. This game was actually planned for the original Xbox to be published by CDV. Not sure if it ever made it out in any region, it was canceled in the US.

Awww too bad it is on a system no one is going to play it on. Seriously, I would play it if it came to any platform other than the Wii.
