The long, possibly troubled, development of Max Payne 3 may finally be coming to a close. Rockstar Games has released two new screenshots of the game, the company's "next big release on both consoles and PC." We're glad to see that Max is looking more like his former self, and not like the bum that scared us in the game's original reveal. "Expect a lot of news in the next few months," Rockstar says on its blog. A rep further adds that we can "look for more on the game in the coming weeks." Given the impending media blast, could Max Payne 3 be ready in time for Take Two's fiscal 2013?

cool! I think in an earlier article it was explained that Max will start out the game with the classic look and then transform into the bald guy later.

I'd rather it was the other way around.

Actually, I'd rather he not spend ANY time as a bald slob in a stained, half-tucked wife-beater. But if he is going to be one... I'd rather it be just a brief thing in the beginning before he gets his act together.

yeah I'd rather they stick with classic Max, but maybe it will make sense and be more palatable in context of the game.

Yeah last preview I read said there was both old and new max in the game. The old max parts play out to explain how you get to be new max and are in São Paulo.
