Winners for Microsoft's Dream Build Play contest, which showcases the company's XNA tools, have been decided. The big winner this year was Blocks That Matter from Guillaume Martin, a puzzle-platformer in which you play as a Tetrobot rescuing his creators by drilling underground. As the Grand Prize winner, Martin received a whopping $40,000 in prize money, and has the option of bringing his game to Xbox Live Arcade.
The other winners include the space-sandbox game Solar 2 with First Prize, action-adventure title TIC: Part 1 taking Second Prize, and RPG/rhythm game Sequence winning Third Prize. Those contestants won $20,000, $10,000, and $5,000, respectively.
The Honorable Mentions were highlighted specifically for standout qualities: Alien Jelly for production quality, The Bridge for innovation, and Ninja Crash for fun factor.
