Disney Epic Mickey 2 interest surveyed
by Steve Watts, Aug 29, 2011 7:30am PDTWe may see a sequel to Disney Epic Mickey, if a new marketing survey is any indication. The sequel is planned for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the Wii, and allegedly features 2-player split-screen with Mickey and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.
Destructoid reports that the marketing survey also includes various subtitle possibilities, including Return of the Mad Doctor, The Power of Two, and Mystery on Mean Street.
It's worth keeping in mind that even if the survey is legitimate, marketing surveys aren't a sure-fire indicator of a release. They're made to gauge potential interest, so the fate of the game probably lies in the hands of those taking the survey. Still, Junction Point has been quiet since releasing the first game, and these sequel concepts seem deep in development.
Disney Epic Mickey wasn't the breakout hit that Disney had hoped for, but the company was ultimately pleased with its performance thanks to strong December sales. In January, Disney studios including Junction Point suffered layoffs as part of a "restructuring process."
