“The console version of Dungeon Defenders has more content, more depth and more challenge than many full retail boxed games," Trendy's Jeremy Stieglitz claimed. "So we can’t wait to get it into players’ hands so they can experience this epic role playing game as it was intended to be played."

Perhaps one of Dungeon Defenders' biggest innovations is its use of GameSpy's "Open" program, which enables cross-platform multiplayer. PC, Android, iOS and PS3 players will all be able to play with each other simultaneously. (Xbox Live players, unfortunately, will not be able to join in on the fun.)

i agree. added it to my steam wishlist in august... LAST year. at the time, it said it would be released in september. then "fall"... then i dunno what because i removed it. since ill be playing battlefield shortly after it releases, and probably exclusively for months to come, i dont see any good reason for buying it at release.

Wow I preordered this on D2D along time ago when it was really cheap. Considering cancelling for a long time now but its just been so long. With MNC out now I don't see much point, we'll see.

No, you won't have to use any GameSpy software. You will probably have to login with your GameSpyID credentials though for multiplayer. But anyone who has ever played a major PC title in the last 10 years or used IGN.com has a gamespyid login.

GameSpy's super slick multiplatform technology is used to enable online services such as playing with all your other friends regardless of what platform they are on.
