Developer Croteam is calling Serious Sam 3: BFE "the best Serious Sam game we've ever made." You'll be able to test that claim when the game releases on PC on October 18th.

The over-the-top arcade FPS is running a number of pre-order promotions across various digital retailers. While the regular selling price of BFE will be $39.99, pre-orders will be entitled to an additional 10% discount. Additionally, Steam users that already own a previous Serious Sam game will get a "super serious" additional 10% discount.

All pre-orders will also get a timed exclusive access to the CFO Fork Parker avatar for use in the game's multiplayer.

If that's not quite enough of a bonus for you, you might want to pre-order the BFE "Digital Serious Edition," which adds a number of other bonuses:

  • Serious Sam: First and Second Encounter Classic, Giftable if Already Owned
  • Exclusive Making-Of Serious Sam 3: BFE Video
  • Exclusive Gold Fork Parker and Gold Serious Sam Multiplayer Character
  • Timed Exclusive Brett Sanderson Headless Kamikaze Multiplayer Character
  • Timed Exclusive DLC: Sniper Scope for AS-24 "Devastator" Weapon
  • Complete Collection of High-Res Serious Sam 3: BFE Trailers and Game Videos
  • Official Sound Track Composed by Damjan Mravunac and Undercode
  • Digital Artbook, High-Res Posters and Box Art

This primo version has yet to be priced.

Finally, Steam is running an additional promotion, discounting the Serious Sam HD titles and bundles at a 66% discount. If you pre-order Serious Sam 3, the discount will be a whopping 85%. That means you'll be able to pick up the Serious Sam HD: Double Pack for $9.99... or less.

DAMMIT man! As much as I'm looking forward to this game, I imagine I will still be balls-deep in RAGE when this game drops.

Much love for Croteam, and I'd love to pay full price for this, but by the time I get time to play it, I'm sure there will be deals and discounts.

A most unfortunate release date, IMO.

I'm waiting for the day that a dev says, "This new game of ours is kinda meh. We're not too happy with it cause we've done better work - but please buy it anyways!"

I am sure it will be good, shame about the date on their part, still if it makes a better game that is what counts so really delay it even more, make it good.

Am I the only one that thinks this game looks fugly?

It appears to be mostly a Skinpack for Serious Sam HD >_>

Stiff animations, very bad stock sounds, ugly guns...C'mon croteam you know better..

Finally. A FSP that doesn't make the mistake of 'oh - since it's modern, it must concern itself with being realistic.'
