The Ninja Gaiden series pretty much defines what makes a game hardcore. So, Team Ninja's decision to add PlayStation Move support to its upcoming Ninja Gaiden 3 seemed peculiar, to say the least.
"With PlayStation Move, you can make the motion of cutting an enemy down," Team Ninja's Yosuke Hayashi explained. "I feel it’s more the casual gamer that will use PS Move and it will make this kind of game more accessible to them."
While the franchise has been skewed towards the hardcore, it appears Hayashi and team are making concessions to attract a wider audience. "Ninja Gaiden 3 is still very difficult on the hardest setting for those fans who like that about the series," Hayashi told the PlayStation.Blog. "However, we have got the normal difficulty level in there for the players who simply want to follow the story or are not so skilled."
We haven't seen Team Ninja's implementation of Move yet, but perhaps it will give us an idea of what to expect from the Wii U version of the game? Ninja Gaiden 3 will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360 early next year.
