We don't blame you for being confused when Monolith revealed a new game that included the words "Batman," "multiplayer," and "shooter" in the announcement. The entire idea sounded a little like an April Fools' gag.
Monolith, however, are welcoming the suspicion and hope to show off what Gotham City Impostors is all about in a PC-only, closed beta.
According to the game's official website, closed beta sign-up are now opened for those willing to agree to the terms of a non-disclosure agreement. The Gotham City Impostors closed beta, which was teased earlier this week, is planned to launch in September.
The game will also be playable at Gamescom 2011 and PAX Prime 2011, both set for later this month.
Gotham City Impostors is priced at $15 and is planned to arrive winter 2012 for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
