Resistance 3 is now a month away, and Insomniac has announced that the game has gone gold for manufacturing. The team can't rest on its laurels, though, since it's overseeing the beta test starting today for SOCOM 4 buyers, and planning a day-one patch to boot.

The patch will bring "updates and tweaks" to the game, most likely to fix any problems that crop up during the beta test.

The disc is also apparently coming complete with demos for a few already-released games (Killzone 3, Motorstorm Apocalypse, and Infamous 2), trailers for Uncharted 3 and Starhawk, movie trailers, and music videos from bands like Foo Fighters and AC/DC. Got to fill up that Blu-ray somehow, right?

Finally, Insomniac released a new trailer today, showcasing the story and some good old-fashioned Chimera-killing. Resistance 3 is hitting PlayStation 3 on September 6.

Thus far, the studio is working to address the connection issues and the people getting caught above the window in the house in the northeastern corner of Trainyard.

      An effective trailier, I think.

      I probably won't get the game though....I don't know...I wish I had more time!

Still don't like the fact that killed off nathan hale, but I at least hope they explain where he and capelle were at the end of R2
