Limbo arrives for PC gamers on Steam
by Xav de Matos, Aug 02, 2011 6:15pm PDTWith Limbo finally arriving on Steam today, PC gamers finally get to see what all the commotion was about when the game first launched on the Xbox Live Arcade in July 2010.
The indie darling from developer Playdead was a featured title during Microsoft's 2010 Summer of Arcade promotion and held onto platform exclusivity until last month, when the game finally arrived on the PlayStation Network.
Unlike the game's launch on the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, Limbo has been priced at $9.99 for the PC on Steam. The single-player masterpiece, which is only available on PC via Steam, includes the ability to play with a controller, Steam Achievements, and Steam Cloud support.
Additionally, the PC version of the game is "the only" release of the game "that runs at a full 60fps."
In 2010, Limbo took the Shacknews award for Best Indie Game of the Year.
