Two new peripherals are being added to the Xbox 360 family this November. The first is the Xbox 360 Media Remote. For $19.99, the remote will allow you to easily control media playback on your system. In addition, it functions as a television remote as well, allowing you to change the volume on your TV and fast forward through Netflix all with one remote. The second peripheral is a new Xbox 360 Wireless Headset with Bluetooth.

The Xbox 360 Media Remote

Available for $59.99, the Bluetooth headset offers a toggle that allows you to switch it between "Xbox mode" and "Bluetooth mode." That means you'll be able to use this one headset on your Xbox and your phone. "This will go on to replace the current Xbox 360 wireless headset," Microsoft's Larry Hyrb noted.

Is it just me, or does anyone else want to punch this asshole in the face every time he opens his mouth?

Seriously, this guy annoys the shit outta me in all the XBL videos and what not. Sooooo fake of a guy imo.

As far as the topic goes: remotes are ok, last one sucked, this could be good. But I always ended up going back to my controller for navigating :/

Yes, I feel the exact same way, so I try and avoid most of his videos.

He looks like some kind of pedophile to me, and a very obvious fake personality.

He generally seems like a nice guy, esp from people who have met him in person at various -con's and events.

I dunno, I've never had an issue with him and the Major Nelson podcasts are generally quite interesting.

That one was meant to control additional WMC functions. This new one also add compatibility for TV IR codes. IF this remote will be able to nav all Xbox media menu, specifically the right stick scrollable ones, then this is a welcomed product for me. Don't like having to grab the controller to read some description that scrolls too far on the right and the regular remote can't scroll it.

i have the older white remote. there is nothing (controlling the xbox menus) I can't do with it. the regular remote scrolls the description with the channel up/down I think.

I use my Remote for my PC my former Xbox and most laptops. In fact, I think it was used in the movie Funny people when they're flipping through videos. Now they have THIS. imadbro

Also, the title is a LITTLE misleading because the Xbox headset, although bluetooth, doesn't use bluetooth technology to actually connect to the Xbox, it uses proprietary technology probably the standard 2.4Ghz for all peripherals now. However, I can think of no other ways to word it.
