Gears of War 3 will sport a casual mode, with tweaks designed to gently invite in newcomers to the series. Eurogamer reports that designer Cliff Bleszinski showed off the mode at Comic Con this weekend.
The mode offers an aim assist for hitting those pesky moving targets. But when we say it's meant for newcomers, we aren't kidding. If you have any Achievements from either of the previous games, or if you got into the Gears of War 3 beta, the mode will be locked off.
Plus, casual multiplayer channels will be offered to let newbies take on each other. These will keep out experienced players, letting newcomers test their skills without worry of getting instantly chainsawed in the back after spawning.
