Homefront 'The Rock' map pack visits Alcatraz

Though Homefront developer Kaos Studios was shut down in June, parent company and publisher THQ isn't giving up on the near-future shooter just yet.

Two new multiplayer maps will arrive "soon" in a new map pack, THQ has announced.

'The Rock' map pack will take players to 'Alcatraz,' the eponymous prison, promising "fierce close-quarters fighting." It'll also offer "large-scale warfare" in a battle to secure the North Tower of the Golden Gate Bridge in 'Bridge.'

As well as adding the two new maps, the downloadable content will open up existing arenas Waterway and Overpass for team deathmatch mode.

While platforms are not confirmed, THQ says that The Rock will be "available first" on Xbox 360, suggesting it'll hit others later. The 'Fire Sale' map pack took five weeks to hit PC, and has still yet to be released for PlayStation 3.
