Darksiders 2 'extended' announcement trailer

Developer Vigil Games and publisher THQ have released a slightly 'extended' version of the original Darksiders 2 'announcement' trailer. Jump in to watch Death in action.

It seems the plan at THQ and Vigil Games is to tease players a few extra seconds every time they mention Darksiders 2 in public.

Today, the publisher and developer have released a new version of the game's announcement trailer. The "extended" trailer adds a few extra seconds of footage to the game's original announcement trailer.

Darksiders 2 follows Death, the second Horseman of the Apocalypse, who takes the reigns from his co-worker War (as seen above). Those two have the weirdest water cooler chats, ever.

Darksiders 2 is launching in 2012 for the PC, Xbox 360, PS3, and WiiU.

Other than the portal bit lasting a bit longer than I would have liked the first game was pretty damned excellent. I'm looking forward to this one.

Yeah, I agree with this. I just finished it a few days ago, and that dragged on about 1 section longer than I would have liked. Other than that though, fantastic game. LOVED the end, instantly made me excited for the sequel.

That it was. I was all sorts of pumped at the end. I hope the new game doesn't take forever to come out.

I did a jumping-out-of-my-seat fist pump at the ending cinematic, loved the whole game, sequel is a day 1 purchase. Hope they have plenty of new ideas

I don't get how anyone loved the ending. It was such goddamn bullshit. I can't stand sequel set-up endings like that. But I couldn't stand that entire game. War moved so slowly in a world so large, the combat system was terrible, and the last several hours dragged on forever.

graphics still look like shit? unforgivably so. worse than gta3. my largest complaint with the first one. you could run it off of integrated graphics mobo chip. ew.

Naw. Once you get playing the game the graphics are actually pretty good (going off of the first one of course). And doesn't it use the Unreal 3 engine? So calling that engine crappy is calling probably half the games of this console cycle crappy looking. imho.

Just trying to get the original off my pile of shame. Great characters just hope they tighten the controls. The aiming with the thrown weapon is sluggish.
