THQ and 4A Games have finally released footage of the E3 2011 Metro: Last Light demo that wasn't pieced together by someone with attention deficit disorder.

The video features a full-out attack against an enemy compound, something we wouldn't have attempted in the original title. The only thought going through my mind during this battle was: "You're wasting all your precious money/ammo!"

This is only the first part of the demo that was shown to attendees at June's big industry event. Metro: Last Light is due to hit the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 in 2012.

Brilliant. The weapons seem to handle much better. One of my lasting impressions of the first game was the Stormtrooper effect.

Hmm? The Stormtrooper effect refers to where his shots are landing, not how he's handling the gun.

I played Metro 2033 and this looks like a great sequel to an average game!

The feel of these games is great. Leave it to Russians to be left 10 years behind us culturally in a generation where games were still good and bring it forth on modern technology.

The sound, the lighting effects, how characters interact with eachother, how they interact with the environment, it's all superb. I don't even like horror or thriller games, yet loved Metro 2033. Lets just hope that the ocean keeps them safe from consolization.
