At E3 2011, Ubisoft finally revealed the next game in the Far Cry franchise. Planned for release in 2012, Far Cry 3 returns to the jungle and, based on what we've seen, features numerous paths to complete objectives.

A trailer released by Ubisoft today features the same scenario demoed at E3 2011; however, a different strategy is employed during this playthrough.

Rather than rush in and attack the compound head-on, this Far Cry 3 walkthrough video features methoical planning and pinpoint accuracy with a devastating sniper rifle. The best part? The video isn't introduced to players by Mr. Caffeine.

Don't remember the original E3 2011 route? Here's the video from last month's event.

This is gonna be so awesome. What would be even more awesome: powered flight. Maybe an ultralight. The hang glider in FC2 was a deathtrap. I think the few times I tried it I just nosedived into the ground.

Enemies that die when you shoot them! Hated Far Cry 2 because (amongst other things) every enemy needed 5+ bullets to kill them which doesn't work with a game that tries to have realistic gunplay.

respawning checkpoints was the only REALLY painful thing in FC2.

I wasn't crazy about the way they designed each mission so that you'd have to travel the exact opposite end of the map EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. When they pull that kind of shit just to extend the perceived playing time of the game I consider that cheap and stupid.

Exactly what drove me crazy. The game was awesome all around but having to go through the same checkpoing a million times for the same mission and kill the same guys was nuts.
