Rage trailer details the story behind the wasteland
by Xav de Matos, Jul 07, 2011 5:00pm PDTIn a new "behind the scenes" trailer for the upcoming shooter Rage dubbed "The Dawn," team members from id Software detail the story of the game's wasteland setting.
Rage takes place 100 years after a meteor ravages earth in 2036, following an unnamed protagonist that must venture out into the world after being awoken from one of the planet's many survival programs. As the sole survivor of his or her particular "Ark," the player faces a world covered in mutants and violence alone.
Rage is coming to the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 on October 4.

Why can't there be a game where your not super man? Or a game where your not always the leader, why not let the player choose if they want to lead or not. If they really want to have a unique game, they should make the player start off as an average person. They talk about how different the game is only through the action scenes everything else is basically the same as every other FPS.
