From Dust will be available for PC on July 27 for $14.99, Ubisoft announced today. Usually Summer of Arcade releases enjoy a period of Xbox Live Arcade exclusivity before hitting other platforms, but From Dust is apparently exempt. It's unclear what this means for the planned PlayStation Network release.

As part of the announcement, Ubisoft released its third developer diary, showing off a lengthy stretch of gameplay. You'll take on the role of a god, helping a primitive tribe brave the elements in pursuit of knowledge, with dynamic factors changing up the game each time. It took home the Best Strategy Game award from the Game Critics Awards at this year's E3, so it's definitely one to watch. Check out the new dev diary below.

First their shitty DRM and now this?.

They certainly don't want us buying their games.

Oh, well. Wake me up when it's in Steam. And fuck Ubi.

^^ Agree completely. UbiSoft needs to fall, and fall HARD for pulling their crap. They deserve every single pirated copy that people download.

I've sworn off all Ubi games until they remove their piece of crap DRM. There are plenty of other good games, and I don't have enough time to play them all as it is.

Most news sites are saying it's coming to multiple DD services (including Steam) on the 27th. I certainly hope that is the case. I've really been looking forward to this one.

Great looking game. Great price! Oh... wait... it's UbiSoft. No game is worth buying from them.
