PSP digital comics updates ending
by Steve Watts, Jul 07, 2011 1:25pm PDTThe latest digital comics update will be the last for the PlayStation Portable, Sony has announced on the PlayStation Blog. No reason was given, but Sony says that "the Digital Comics Team will continue to work on bringing the comic service to other Sony devices" and promises updates on the PS Blog. That may point to a return of digital comics on the PS Vita when it launches, but no specific plans were mentioned.
The store has more than 4,000 available comics in total, and this week's final update brings heavy-hitters like Batman: Arkham City #1, Dr. Who, Ender's Game, and Locke & Key. If you get hooked on any of those series from the PSP store, you'll have to rely on the comics on your smart phone, or PC, or this strange thin substance they call "paper."
