Rumor: Ms. Splosion Man exploding onto Steam

Twisted Pixel's explosive platformer sequel briefly appeared on Steam, suggesting Ms. Splosion Man won't be an Xbox Live Arcade exclusive, and will also come to PC.

Signs are pointing to a PC release for Ms. Splosion Man, after one of the chaps at Rock, Paper, Shotgun had Twisted Pixel's platformer briefly appear, unbidden, in his Steam account.

The brief appearance of Ms. 'Splosion Man, which has so far only been confirmed for Xbox Live Arcade, on Valve's digital distribution platform was complete with the same achievements and icons as the XBLA counterpart. It's vanished now, though, replaced with the mysterious placeholder name 'ValveTestApp105420.'

Whilst Twisted Pixel's first game, The Maw, received a PC release, all its games since then have been exclusive to XBLA, including the original 'Splosion Man.

Ms. 'Splosion Man will be released for Xbox Live Arcade on July 3. Shacknews has contact Twisted Pixel for comment and will update if we learn anything new and exciting.

Hopefully this is true. I loved the first 'Splosion Man but I would rather buy this on the PC where I can use real money and not imaginary Microsoft Dollars.
