After all the fun and excitement of this week, and the impending American Independence Day celebrations, next week's a slow one for new releases. There's still fun to be had, though, with the bug-squishing Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon, and the PC edition of Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition a week after its console release.

Here's the list of next week's new releases:

PC

Xbox 360

PlayStation 3

Wii

Nintendo 3DS

PSP

Ninendo DS

Whoever was worried about large numbers of insects, that video shows they definitely kept that!

That was probably me and now that I've played through a few missions, I'll say that they've done a great job with the game! Starting weapons are weak, which is to be expected, the jetpack trooper is very cool, bugs are a plenty, I'm very happy! The hectors look too much like the aliens from Crysis 2 and they're fairly tough now. Even in a mech they can take a lot of punishment which is fairly different from how I recall them from 2017.

The EDF chant isn't quite so blindly loyal and hilarious but it's still there!

Lots of great mech action, etc. The starting explosive weapons are annoyingly weak but I guess that's to be expected.

Overall, it's EDF and you kill bugs and fight giant robots!!! 3-player online co-op! They still have split-screen support!

I looked away at something for a second and when I looked back, a giant kitten was coming towards me. :(

how does it control? does it use FPSish type controls? does it autoaim well? i cannot use a controller for any kind of aiming unless it basically does it for me and lets me just switch my targets buttons or directional movements.

I'm pretty averse to FPSes on consoles and loved the first on 360.

Is there a way you could link to the previous weeks? OldShack used to have this and it was great to have in case you forgot what came out.
