Barcelona-based developer Novarama has signed an exclusivity deal with Sony, IGN reports.

Known for the PSP-exclusive, camera-required title Invizimals, Novarama is currently crafting a new augmented reality portable game entitled Reality Fighters for Sony's PlayStation Vita. The news means that Sony will ensure the fighting title will remain exclusive to its upcoming handheld.

According to the report, Novarama will continue to develop exclusive titles for Sony's multitude of platforms following the release of Reality Fighters.

Calling it a "strategic alliance with one of Europe's brightest developers," SCE Worldwide Studios Europe senior VP Michael Denny teased, "I am very excited about what Novarama have planned and look forward to being able to share it with everybody."

A second game in the Invizimals franchise, Invizimals: Shadow Zone, is slated to arrive stateside this fall for the PSP.

Sony's PlayStation Vita (formerly referred to as Sony NGP) is set to launch later this year in two flavors: a Wi-Fi only model for $249.99 and a Wi-Fi and AT&T-powered 3G model for $299.99.
