Microsoft's Larry Hryb (aka Major Nelson) has announced the dates and prices for this year's Summer of Arcade promotion on Xbox Live Arcade. The prices mostly come in at the standard $15 (1200 MSP); the one exception is Fruit Ninja Kinect, which goes for just $10 (800 MSP).

And as usual, buying all of the games in the promotion will have its own rewards. This year, that means you'll get the upcoming action-RPG Crimson Alliance when it releases on September 7. It will sell separately for $15.

Check out the full list of dates and prices below, and plan your XBLA shopping spree accordingly.

  • July 20 - Bastion ($15 / 1200 MSP)

  • July 27 - From Dust ($15 / 1200 MSP)

  • August 3 - Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet ($15 / 1200 MSP)

  • August 10 - Fruit Ninja Kinect ($10 / 800 MSP)

  • August 17 - Toy Soldiers: Cold War ($15 / 1200 MSP)

I want Fruit Ninja Kinect, but not at $10.. maybe $5 (more than likely I'll wait for DotW pricing on all of these).

Yeah, $10 for Fruit Ninja? You can't play that game on iPad for more than 30 seconds. I can't imagine flailing around for longer than that.

For $5 I'd totally be there.

Lol im not completely surprised at the pricing, but its definently retarded when its a 99 cent game on Iphone. MS always overcharges for everything, for an example of the over charging look at prices for WM7 games.
