The Felix Culpa is a four-piece band consisting of vocalist/guitarist Marky Hladish, bassist/vocalist Tristan Hammond, guitarist/vocalist Dustin Currier and drummer Joel Coan. From the Illinois/Wisconsin border, the band is best described as progressive indie with post-hardcore elements. They have released two full-length albums ("Commitment" and "Sever Your Roots"), an EP/DVD combo ("Thought Control"), a digital EP ("SoSo Remission") and are currently signed to No Sleep Records. They can be found online at Facebook, twitter, and on their official site.
The Felix Culpa are headed out on a short supporting tour w/ The Dear Hunter.

Teamwork, colaberation, and compramise are always needed, but that doesn't mean there can't be a guiding direction at the center of a project. In fact, I think it becomes MORE important to have that singular presence at the center of a large development team. It helps keep development focused and coherent towards a common design goal.
Certainly, this exsists in game development. Strangely enough, I think it is the western developers who seem to shy away from discussing this out in the open. The Japanese development community clearly understands the importance of aknowledging the guiding force behinde a game.
It is the Western developers who seem to be resistant to the idea of a single voice standing out as the leader of a project. I often wonder if this is purely a public-facing tendancy, or if it is a reality internally in Western studios. Are Japanese development studios more open to the concept of aknowledging a single designer as the leader of a project, and rallying a team around them?
