Splash Damage has outlined the first planned downloadable content for Brink, titled "Agents of Change." The content will be free for the first two weeks across all platforms: Steam, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live. It's expected to hit sometime in early July, after it clears certification at Sony and Microsoft. It includes two environments, five abilities, two outfits, and two weapon attachments.

The developer is has also released a sizable title update in preparation for the DLC, which includes various PC bug fixes and weapon balancing tweaks. A few notable fixes include invisible players disappearing, cheats disabling character saving, spectator optimization, and server/client aim issues.

Splash Damage didn't give word on how much the DLC will cost if you grab it after the first two weeks. A representative told Shacknews the price is "still TBC" and will be shared at a later time.

It is not unexpected. They are trying to reward people for buying their game and not trading it back in as well as for the early adopters.

too little too late. free DLC is a nice gesture (even if it is timed), it's not going to fix a straight-up broke game.

It`s just not a fun experience. There's a lot of things wrong with it, from the shooting mechanics, to navigation.

They have fixed a lot of bugs and such, but the most important issue remains: the game pretty much sucks. It's not fun and isn't very interesting to rehash a map style that got old after two rounds of DustRushWater in TF2.

Dev said that at the release of the DLC for 2 weeks if you grabbed it within that time the DLC it's yours to keep forever, anyone else who downloads it after the 2 weeks has to pay.

Confused me for a bit, I thought it was a 2 week trial periods of the DLC.

I can't believe they're still trying to monetize this after all the problems it had (and still has).

Not much different than any other recent game. Look at Fallout 3/New Vegas, COD:Black Ops, etc. All those games had/have some major issues yet they are still going. Not sure why Splash Damage should do any different. To tell you the truth, I think it's pretty cool that they haven't stopped trying to work things out. Not many companies do that anymore.

Agreed! It would bug me much more if they just gave up on it as happens with other games quite often.

unplayable on release day, at least on the 360 No problems on the PC platform, I've heard from others having minor glitches like the fonts being all wobbly etc.

Ummm...does anyone not get that almost all Bethesda games are ALWAYS buggy on day 1 or are we still gonna bitch and moan and complain about how the game is "broken". I still have my copy for PC and I already knew it was gonna be buggy because it's a Bethesda game and they work at issues like that which to me, says a lot. I mean, unless anyone else can't recall when Oblivion (released in 05) had an infestation of bugs along with Fallout 3 AND New Vegas.
